Massage can treat injuries such as tendonitis, sprains, strains, whiplash, plantar fasciitis, fibromyalgia, and inflammation. In addition, massage is used to improve posture, relieve painful or tight muscles, decrease fluid retention, and decreases delayed muscle soreness after vigorous exercise.


Physiotherapy

Physiotherapy can improve your quality of life by promoting optimal mobility, preventing disease, managing acute and chronic conditions, rehabilitating injury, and providing education and support programs to prevent re-occurrence.


Chiropractic

Chiropractors focus on your musculoskeletal system (MSK) and treat bones, muscles, tendons, cartilage, ligaments, joints and connective tissues that you use everyday. The MSK system supports your weight, provides physical stability, enables you to move your body and protects vital organs. Chiropractors are experts in spinal care and are able to assess, diagnose, and treat MSK conditions.


Traditional Chinese Medicine-Acupuncturist

Traditional Chinese Medicine uses the practices of Acupuncture, Herbology, Tuina, Cupping, Guasha, and Qi gong in treatments. TCM practitioners can treat a variety of conditions including management of chronic and acute pain , anxiety, depression, digestive problems, insomnia, headaches/migraines, weight loss, addiction, women’s health, pregnancy support and fertility issues.


Athletic Therapy

Cristina holds a Bachelor’s of Fine Arts Degree from York University and a diploma in Massage Therapy from Oxford College. After 20 years in the music industry Cristina opted for a career change when a motor vehicle accident left her in chronic pain for eight years. Through physiotherapy and massage therapy, Cristina was able to regain strength, flexibility and stamina that she had lost due to her accident. Her new career goals, as a massage therapist, were to help people overcome pain from various injuries and to help clients improve movement and flexibility and to improve their quality of life. Cristina has considerable experience with office workers (desk jockeys), prenatal massage and athletic massage for children.

Justin holds a Bachelor’s degree in Arts from the University of Western Ontario and a diploma in Massage Therapy with honours from Oxford College. He has worked largely with runners, cyclists, geriatric and palliative care patients. Aligning his treatment focus to the client’s own objectives for overall improved health, Justin draws on a wide variety of techniques to ensure impactful changes as a result of each treatment. Justin believes that massage therapy is an essential component to encouraging improved flexibility and movement within the body which is fundamental to an enhanced quality of life.

Tamara holds a Bachelor of Honours Arts degree from the University of Toronto, as well as a diploma in Massage Therapy, with honours, from Oxford College. She has previously worked in the fitness industry as a trainer and coach, and has 10+ years of experience as a martial arts athlete. This inspired her to pursue a career in Massage Therapy, after experiencing first-hand, how injuries can affect one’s quality of life and how a good practitioner can make all the difference when it comes to recovery. Domenic is the owner/operator of Path to Wellness. He graduated with a Bachelor of Physical Education with Honours in Kinesiology and a Massage Therapy diploma. Domenic has worked with several NHL, CFL, NFL and Olympic athletes. He is currently in his third season working as a therapist with the Calgary Flames. Domenic has also worked as a massage therapist for the Canadian Women’s National Hockey Team from 2006 to 2014. He was the team’s therapist for both the Vancouver 2010 and the Sochi 2014 Olympic Games, both of which they won gold. He was also the therapist for the Toronto Argonauts’ 2014 and 2015 seasons and worked at the Pan American Games in 2015.

Daniela Mitik-Anuseva is a registered TCMP acupuncturist and herbalist. She is an honors graduate from the Ontario College of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Toronto. Prior to embarking on her Traditional Chinese Medicine journey, Daniela worked as a physiotherapist in her native country for more than 10 years. In Canada, she acquired extensive experience as a physiotherapy assistant for 15 years. Daniela has integrated her experiences from her former career with her knowledge of Chinese Medicine practices of Acupuncture, Herbology, Tuina, Cupping, Guasha, Qi gong, Moxibustion. This integration enables Daniela to create an individual, comprehensive treatment plan for management of chronic and acute pain , anxiety, depression, digestive problems, insomnia, women’s health, pregnancy support and fertility issues. Daniela also has a very strong passion for health and fitness and is a certified STOTT Pilates instructor. Dr. Shelby completed her Doctor of Chiropractic degree from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College, and previously obtained her Bachelor of Applied Health Science in Athletic Therapy from Sheridan College and her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from the University of Ottawa. Shelby has continued to add to her education and skill set by completing McMaster’s Acupuncture program, as well as various courses to enhance her manual techniques.

Shelby has always had a passion for sports and has had the opportunity to work with a variety of athletes, from professionals to weekend warriors.She is currently the head medical professional for the Oakville Blades Jr. A Hockey Club.
